I love the fact that the root 6 is only 3.3lbs! A great size for vacuuming the car, or those hit and miss areas. It would be great to meet Sir Dyson, I love his products!

Definitely has to be the weight for me...A little over 3 pounds, WOW! I could get some big messes cleaned up in a snap....Even when I have the little man attached to my waist! Thanks for the awesome chance to win one!

Wish I was in NYC to meet Dyson, he seems like an interesting man.

I love that the Root 6 is so portable and maneuverable, it would be fantastic for the very long, steep stairs we have. I also love the Issey Miyake version. But honestly, the Animal version would be perfect for us, since we have six cats and it seems like I am forever cleaning up cat fur.

By Blogger Naomi, at 4/04/2008 1:32 PM

as a mother of two and a wife of a guy who misses every detail, this vacuum is perfect for car cleaning and quick pickups. im a big fan all Dyson vacuum cleaners. a friend of mine owned one and I would end up borrowing it almost every other day. It was so easy to clean out that I wouldnt mine "co-owning" one.

By Blogger Kanga Ranga, at 4/04/2008 2:04 PM

I love my Dyson Animal Vacuum...but it is hard to clean the stairs with it. The Root 6 would be perfect for the stairs, and as a great replacement for the "other" cordless vacuum I keep on hand for the small messes.

By Blogger Carrott, at 4/04/2008 2:35 PM

I am so lucky already that you are having a Dyson contest again! I love the root 6 style.

If I met Sir Dyson, I would ask him why the upright vacuums don't have automatic cord rewind. Otherwise, they are fabulous, but I can't make it to New York. So someone please ask him about automatic cord rewind

By Anonymous Orinda, at 4/04/2008 3:32 PM

Lightweight for picking the eternal little messes around my house!

Yes, I live in NYC.

ooh, I'd love to own a Dyson vacuum! This would be great for picking up all the fibers left over from softie-making without having to bust out my big clunky vacuum! You can sign me up!

Oh I love my Dyson. I have the original upright vacuum. The very first one! I would love this for various incidents involving my four year old. I love the easy empty feature. It's so awesome not to have to touch the filth.

By Blogger Cassie, at 4/04/2008 4:28 PM

Cool giveaway! I love that it recharges so fast, and that it's easy to empty out. My current handheld vac (a cheapy from Sears) fails on both of those counts. And really, this one looks so cool - like a Star Wars ray gun. That's just an extra bonus feature!
Thanks!

Greetings! First of all what I like about the Dyson brand is its' reputation! This particular model is very nice because of its' smaller size and lesser weight! This makes it easy to handle. I like that it has a wall mounted battery charger and I can hang it in my laundry room for easy access. Please enter me in your drawing. Thanks,Cindi

No more dusty bags!

By Blogger Daddy, at 4/04/2008 7:06 PM

I've been lusting over the Dyson since it came out. it is one of the most modern design-savvy piece of cleaning equipment ever made! I know that James Dyson cares more about the cleaning ability than the design, but it really is a beautiful piece of equipment. Plus I have a couple of cats, so this is the ONLY way to go!

I want a Dyson. My favorite feature is that it's Hygienic and quick to empty. My current vacum has a filter and it takes a lot of time to clean the filter for reuse.

By Blogger Uniquely Yours, at 4/04/2008 8:30 PM

I think that my favorite feature would be the SIZE - perfect for all those little things - even stairs I would think would be easier with this than my big old thing!!

By Blogger Ames, at 4/04/2008 9:34 PM

My favorite feature? Aside from the snazzy shade of orange, I'd have to say the light weight and easy portability.

By Blogger Becca, at 4/04/2008 10:30 PM

Love the compact size (easy for a mom who's carrying a baby to use) and that it's hygenic and quick to empty. With the need for quick pick-ups everyday in my family, my fingers are double-crossed!

By Anonymous tvollowitz@aol.com, at 4/05/2008 9:51 AM

There are two things I really like about it. First, it is supposed to sweep well on all floor surfaces. Many times a broom doesn't get everything so being able to sweep the kitchen floor with this sweeper would mean I would probably get more dirt picked up. But what I like best is that it is great for those with allergies.

By Anonymous Karen, at 4/05/2008 10:37 AM

I love that it's lightweight, easy to empty. But the best feature is that it doesn't remit all of the dust and allergens back out through the exhaust-great for people with allergies, like my son & husband. I covet the large Dyson vacs, and this is great for our little place!

By Blogger Ursula, at 4/05/2008 12:55 PM

I like that it is easy to empty. My vacuum kicks up so much when I use it, I have to have my kids go in another room and wear a mask. I am highly allergic to several things. This would be so nice to have, to be able to breathe while I vacuum!!

By Blogger holly K, at 4/05/2008 12:59 PM

I love the info about been asthma friendly! I suffer with this since I was 6!! And here all vacuum cleaners are so big and heavy! I really need one of this...I can´t go to NY to meet him because I live so, so far, in Brazil! kisses!

By Blogger angela, at 4/05/2008 1:44 PM

The canister instead of the bag so that it is easy to empty, and the filter because my whole family has allergies and how it is lightweight so that it is easy to carry around! Thanks!

By Blogger Jessie R., at 4/05/2008 5:33 PM

I love the fact that you don't have to buy bags for it. And I badly need a handheld vacuum for when I don't want to pull out my floor model (a Dyson, by the way).

By Anonymous stimeyland@gmail.com, at 4/05/2008 7:10 PM

I love the hygenic and quick to empty. The lightweight handvac that I have now is so icky to clean. :( And a handvac is sooo necessary in our house with one toddler and one preschooler. :)

By Blogger kevnjacks, at 4/05/2008 7:30 PM

This vacuum looks so snazzy! I love that it is easy to use because it is small lightweight! I also like the removable canister-no more icky bags! I like idea of a battery charger, too. Hope I win!

By Blogger you big baby!, at 4/05/2008 8:03 PM

I love the portability due to its size and the fact that it is a bagless vacuum.

By Blogger Tech Savvy Mama, at 4/05/2008 8:23 PM

I keep hearing about Dyson vacuums, but I've yet to try one out. I love the lightweigh-ness of this one, and the color is great, too! :-)

By Blogger Ruth, at 4/05/2008 9:03 PM

First off, I love that it's a Dyson, because I've heard nothing but awesome things from people who have them. I think it's great that it charges quicker than other models - I've had trouble with that on other hand vacuums I've had before. And also, the weight (or lack of) is an incredible feature that makes this truly a first choice for quick pick-ups. :)

Very cool design! Bagless, great power. I'm sold!! :)

By Blogger nvedf, at 4/05/2008 11:28 PM

The two things I like the best about the Root 6 is that it are:

1) That it is a hand-held vacuum. I HATE dragging out a big machine.

2) The design reminds me of a blaster from Star Wars...I might even get my boys to do some vacuuming this way!

By Blogger KentuckyGal, at 4/06/2008 1:39 AM

Love the low weight, high ower, and fast recharging. Totally can kick my dustbuster to the curb.

By Blogger julianne, at 4/06/2008 5:10 AM

When reading the advertisements and the design features about the Root 6 hand held vacuum, I can't help but get excited about 3 things. 1)I don't have to wash my hands or scrub my nails after empty the canister! 2)I don't have to wait a day for the Root 6 to recharge! 3)It is lighter then my exercise dumbbells! The Root 6 would make cleaning up after a toddler a dream!

it's lightweight, innovative, and has the best suction power of all handhelds.

By Blogger londonald, at 4/06/2008 6:06 AM

What a Great giveaway!! I would have to say the size of it. Small and lightweight but it sounds like it packs a punch! Thanks so much! :)

By Blogger Amy~our2peasinapod, at 4/06/2008 6:37 AM

What I would like most about the DC16 Root 6 Dyson is the fast charging time and the ability to have the motorized brushbar for pet hair pick-up. We have pets and it would be very useful. We also like the Dyson brand and have the full size pet Dyson vacuum and it does a great job. Very cool product. Thanks for the opportunity to enter.

I love the fact that it is light weight. You can't ask for more then that. Of course, the technology of Dysons....it always sucks, is awesome! Especially in a house with pets, I need all the sucking that I can get.

By Blogger Nicol, at 4/06/2008 8:51 AM

when you empty it, it's fast and clean. super important to me, cause if it's gross, i won't go near it.

I love the lightweight feature b/c I loathe heavy vacuums! And I need something to vacuum the car with too! :)

Cathy @ cfoblog [at] gmail [dot] com

By Anonymous Cathy, at 4/06/2008 9:25 AM

My absolute favorite feature is the fact that Dyson vacuums really clean like they say they do. My friend has one and I pine for it. One day! My favorite techincal feature for this one is the weight. At just 3.3 lbs it is easy to wield and works great for tight spaces. Oh please please please pick me!

By Blogger Cricket, at 4/06/2008 9:37 AM

I would love to win one of those as it's such a lightweight! The whole design is perfect. Thanks for the great give away!

By Blogger gunzie, at 4/06/2008 11:18 AM

My husband would want this more than I do to clean out the car. The best part is it is light weight. Who likes hauling around a 20 pound vacuum cleaner? Oooo! Pick me!

By Blogger Rake, at 4/06/2008 12:17 PM

One of my biggest cleaning challenges is lugging around our heavy old upright vacuum. Having the Root 6 would definitely help me keep things tidier around here and make it possible to keep the car clean too. As for meeting Sir Dyson? That would be beyond cool!

By Blogger lritscher, at 4/06/2008 12:27 PM

What a wonderful giveaway. Thank you for offering this prize. I like that this Dyson Root 6 recharges quickly and can be used in small spaces. I have an old small hand vac that I currently use for quick clean ups after my kids, and it seems that I use it for only a few minutes and it needs to be recharged again. In addition, I find that the hand vac I have now doesn't fit well into small areas and this Root 6 sounds like it would do any job wonderfully. Thank you again for this great giveaway and please enter me.

By Blogger peg42, at 4/06/2008 12:37 PM

I like that it's cordless, so I can quickly run around an do touchups or clean my car without having to wrangle a cord or an extension.

By Blogger Toasters, at 4/06/2008 12:45 PM

I love that it's lightweight, thus I can easily do my stairs!

By OpenID cdziuba, at 4/06/2008 12:45 PM

The weight! Vacuums are SO heavy lately! Dyson surpasses all other in every area! Including price though. I would adore one of these!
Thank you!

By Blogger Gina, at 4/06/2008 12:48 PM

I have really been wanting one of these vacuums. It has so much more power than my current "old fashioned" vacuum.

By Blogger fangirl, at 4/06/2008 12:48 PM

I like the light weight

By OpenID louiseb130, at 4/06/2008 12:49 PM

By Blogger judyv12306, at 4/06/2008 12:59 PM

the lightweight and fast recharge are the most important to me

By Blogger Erica C., at 4/06/2008 1:05 PM

I love that the Root 6 is so portable and maneuverable, it would be fantastic for the very long, steep stairs we have.

By Blogger CrazyDaizy, at 4/06/2008 1:07 PM

I see this on Television. I like how lightweight it would be, very easy to carry around, it wouldn't hurt my back using it.
Plus it's from a great brand!

Thanks for the contest.

By OpenID lalaluva, at 4/06/2008 1:09 PM

I like the pistol style grip, the light weight and bagless!

By Blogger Bonnie D, at 4/06/2008 2:43 PM

cordless and powerful!!!

By Blogger Mya, at 4/06/2008 2:46 PM

I love that something so small can be so powerful. It's amazing!

By Blogger Rebecca, at 4/06/2008 2:59 PM

I love that it's small enough to suck up the crumbs my daughter leaves on the couch.

By Blogger PAIGE, at 4/06/2008 3:02 PM

I love his commercials, his voice is awesome! My favorite feature is that the root 6 is only 3.3lbs! A great size for vacuuming the car or all those quick clean ups from kids.

By Blogger Ginny, at 4/06/2008 3:09 PM

Just having a heart attack makes the 3.3 lbs sound like a cinch to use, along with the no changing of bags.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 4/06/2008 3:24 PM

I love that its lightweight and cordless without sacrificing power.

By Blogger psipsina, at 4/06/2008 3:32 PM

With two small kids, a dog, and a Marine for a husband, the fact that it is up to 3 times faster to recharge is a godsend. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten one mess cleaned up, only to turn around to find /another/ one to do, as well.

By Blogger USMCWife, at 4/06/2008 3:37 PM

Oh man, this is awesome!! We have a Dyson and it's the best thing ever. No bags...love that!! But, this little sucker (LOL!) I have to have one of these...weighing at about 3lbs. and can work like a champ for 6 minutes...that's pretty good. It'll get all the nooks and crannies too...I think I'd probably be doing more with the root 6 than blogging...

By Blogger Leslie, at 4/06/2008 3:39 PM

My favorite would have to be the weight because it would be easy on my arms.

By Blogger witchy64, at 4/06/2008 4:02 PM

I love that it is portable and the fact that it weighs so little

By Blogger poet_101, at 4/06/2008 4:04 PM

Love that it has twice the suction of other handhelds and that it is easy and quick to empty.

By Blogger LINDALSHOT, at 4/06/2008 4:19 PM

As a Basset Hound rescue volunteer, I have a minimum of five Bassets at a time in my house. Despite their short coat Bassets are known to be "heavy shedders." I would use it to clean the hair out of my car, staircase and tight corners. Hey I may even vacuum a dog or too!

By Anonymous Valerie Epps, at 4/06/2008 4:27 PM

The light weight--for obvious reasons.

By Blogger Margaret, at 4/06/2008 4:50 PM

I have two cats and this handheld vacuum would be wonderful for cleaning fur off my sofa, bed, etc. I so hope that I win this little gem!

By Blogger mhill, at 4/06/2008 4:51 PM

The motorized brush bar for pets is perfect for me with three dogs.
