Wish I was in NYC to meet Dyson, he seems like an interesting man.
I love that the Root 6 is so portable and maneuverable, it would be fantastic for the very long, steep stairs we have. I also love the Issey Miyake version. But honestly, the Animal version would be perfect for us, since we have six cats and it seems like I am forever cleaning up cat fur.
as a mother of two and a wife of a guy who misses every detail, this vacuum is perfect for car cleaning and quick pickups. im a big fan all Dyson vacuum cleaners. a friend of mine owned one and I would end up borrowing it almost every other day. It was so easy to clean out that I wouldnt mine "co-owning" one.
I love my Dyson Animal Vacuum...but it is hard to clean the stairs with it. The Root 6 would be perfect for the stairs, and as a great replacement for the "other" cordless vacuum I keep on hand for the small messes.

If I met Sir Dyson, I would ask him why the upright vacuums don't have automatic cord rewind. Otherwise, they are fabulous, but I can't make it to New York. So someone please ask him about automatic cord rewind

Oh I love my Dyson. I have the original upright vacuum. The very first one! I would love this for various incidents involving my four year old. I love the easy empty feature. It's so awesome not to have to touch the filth.
Cool giveaway! I love that it recharges so fast, and that it's easy to empty out. My current handheld vac (a cheapy from Sears) fails on both of those counts. And really, this one looks so cool - like a Star Wars ray gun. That's just an extra bonus feature!

I've been lusting over the Dyson since it came out. it is one of the most modern design-savvy piece of cleaning equipment ever made! I know that James Dyson cares more about the cleaning ability than the design, but it really is a beautiful piece of equipment. Plus I have a couple of cats, so this is the ONLY way to go!

I want a Dyson. My favorite feature is that it's Hygienic and quick to empty. My current vacum has a filter and it takes a lot of time to clean the filter for reuse.
I think that my favorite feature would be the SIZE - perfect for all those little things - even stairs I would think would be easier with this than my big old thing!!

Love the compact size (easy for a mom who's carrying a baby to use) and that it's hygenic and quick to empty. With the need for quick pick-ups everyday in my family, my fingers are double-crossed!

There are two things I really like about it. First, it is supposed to sweep well on all floor surfaces. Many times a broom doesn't get everything so being able to sweep the kitchen floor with this sweeper would mean I would probably get more dirt picked up. But what I like best is that it is great for those with allergies.
I love that it's lightweight, easy to empty. But the best feature is that it doesn't remit all of the dust and allergens back out through the exhaust-great for people with allergies, like my son & husband. I covet the large Dyson vacs, and this is great for our little place!
I like that it is easy to empty. My vacuum kicks up so much when I use it, I have to have my kids go in another room and wear a mask. I am highly allergic to several things. This would be so nice to have, to be able to breathe while I vacuum!!

I keep hearing about Dyson vacuums, but I've yet to try one out. I love the lightweigh-ness of this one, and the color is great, too! :-)
First off, I love that it's a Dyson, because I've heard nothing but awesome things from people who have them. I think it's great that it charges quicker than other models - I've had trouble with that on other hand vacuums I've had before. And also, the weight (or lack of) is an incredible feature that makes this truly a first choice for quick pick-ups. :)

The two things I like the best about the Root 6 is that it are:
1) That it is a hand-held vacuum. I HATE dragging out a big machine.
2) The design reminds me of a blaster from Star Wars...I might even get my boys to do some vacuuming this way!
Love the low weight, high ower, and fast recharging. Totally can kick my dustbuster to the curb.
When reading the advertisements and the design features about the Root 6 hand held vacuum, I can't help but get excited about 3 things. 1)I don't have to wash my hands or scrub my nails after empty the canister! 2)I don't have to wait a day for the Root 6 to recharge! 3)It is lighter then my exercise dumbbells! What I would like most about the DC16 Root 6 Dyson is the fast charging time and the ability to have the motorized brushbar for pet hair pick-up. We have pets and it would be very useful. My absolute favorite feature is the fact that Dyson vacuums really clean like they say they do. My friend has one and I pine for it. One day! My favorite techincal feature for this one is the weight. With two small kids, a dog, and a Marine for a husband, the fact that it is up to 3 times faster to recharge is a godsend. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten one mess cleaned up, only to turn around to find /another/ one to do, as well.

I have to have one of these...weighing at about 3lbs. and can work like a champ for 6 minutes...that's pretty good. It'll get all the nooks and crannies too...I think I'd probably be doing more with the root 6 than blogging...

I have lots of steps and this vac looks very lights.
As a Basset Hound rescue volunteer, I have a minimum of five Bassets at a time in my house. Despite their short coat Bassets are known to be "heavy shedders." I would use it to clean the hair out of my car, staircase and tight corners. Hey I may even vacuum a dog or too!

OH, I like this product for a lot of reasons. The light weight is extremely important to me because I have a physical problem and can't lift or manuveur anything heavy. But the cleaning is just as important and when I read that it had twice the suction of most handhelds, I was excited! It is a little thing, but I also like the battery indicator so I know when it is running low on power...it doesn't just cut off.
I have lung disease but I still have to try occassionally to clean up and I desperately need a lightweight but powerful suction vacumn. I've used the full size Dyson and I know the technology and power is made into all the Dyson vacumns...I need this vacumn.

I love how powerful and light it is. We have two levels and a set of stairs, and the vacuum we have is so heavy I always feel like I am going to drop it.
This is ideal for quick picks...like when the grandkids knock cereal on the floor!! or come running in with mud. I think I like that it is cordless and 3lbs the best. Ideal for my Car as well.
Lightweight is good but the fact that it picks up cat hair is what would make me buy it.

This new product, the Root 6, looks like it would be great for someone with a bad back and arthritis in both hands,since it weighs only 3.3 Lbs., and is small enough to keep handy.
I love my upright dyson for floor cleaning. This would be perfect for our office, the accessory tool, alone is worth the whole system. That it converts to a brush for dusting is awesome, we run three computers in our home office which equals a lot of dust on not so easy to dust things, like keyboards!
The problem of vacuuming stairs is finally solved.

I think that the best thing about Dyson is that there is no extra cost. A regular vacuum would eventually need belts replaced, new bags, etc. These things add up over time and make it much more costly. First of all, it is just the coolest looking hand held vac I've ever seen. I use my cheapo hand vac every day around 5 times and to be able to upgrade to this ultra light weight, easy to use, easy to empty Dyson would be AWESOME.
How about EVERYTHING. Weight is a big issue because I live in a big house and have 4 dogs and 1 cat, all of whom shed. Then there's the whole "it's spring and everything is in bloom so allergens are EVERYWHERE" aspect of country living, so the allergies aspect also means alot. But I am also a mega toolhead, and the mechanics of it floor me; yet the creative side of me loves the design. (Genes will out. Dad's an engineer, Mom's an artist. Talk about having a split personality....)

The features of the Root 6 that get me are there are no bags to fill, bags to throw away, bags to fill a landfill. I have always tried since being a child to consume less in a package friendly overly friendly world and it is truly tough. When Dyson came out with his vacuum and systems that allow moms to really care about cleaning their homes and cleaner the environment that means a lot. A system that truly works, truly cleans and I only throw out minimal amount of waste.
I love that it's lightweight yet effective-I have a ton of stairs in my house and it's a pain to lug around my heavy vacuum, this would be such a relief!
the light weight easy to carry side i like best. theres so many obsticles around here, i need to be able to move around stuff.
I love the accessory tool that dusts keyboards and electronics!

It sucks...in a good way
It's the 3lb. weight it's nice to be able to carry around easily when you're cleaning the car.
I like that is has up to 6 minutes of cleaning and it recharges fast.
