I love Alexander Girard designs because they are fun, bold, subtle, kid friendly, adult loving...everything. There's so much variety! I really love the Thick and Thin design in Coco/Cream. This would be perfect in my 8 yr old son's room. Funky, yet fun!

I like that Alexander Girard is so chic! So cool, hip, and mod.

My fave tile is the Tapete Turquoise, but I know my husband would pick something different. :)

I like that the Alexander Girard prints are totally un-dull. Those flowers/suns made me smile right when I saw them in these pictures! Very day-brightening. As for the Flor prints I like a few from the new Martha Stewart prints, Cinnabar, Laurel and Brook are all super!

After working at a modern furniture store for several years, my apartment is nothing less than mid-century modern fabulous! I actually brought the Flor line into the store, and the biggest reason I pursued them is because I loved the recycling aspect. We had carpeted the entire store, 4,000 sq feet, in Flor, and my picks included the houndstooth and birds on a wire.

But having Girard's designs on my flor would be absolute ecstasy on my feet! I've made pillows and drapes from his Maharam fabrics, and even made little catnip cat-toys with the scraps!
Even my cats play in style!

I can't even imagine! Girard carpet? I'm just waiting for Eames, Merimekko or Panton designs to pop up next!

My dad actually introduced me to Alexander Girard this Christmas with some gorgeous notecards! I love the bold colors and designs. We're looking for carpet squares for our new playroom, and I wanted something bright and colorful without being totally played -- these are perfect!! I'm so excited!

I love Gigard's designs. They're mod and cool, without overdoing it. They also allow you to put your own creative effort in by arranging the tiles. Totally awesome.

My favorite prints: Striped Poodle, Terra and Twiggy.

we purchased flor tiles for our stairs, gambling that they would stay put and provide a modern-looking tread option other than boring, homey braided. the risk paid off! (i cut them in half to fit) the backing on these tiles perfectly grips our painted wood stairs without glue or tacktape and they look great. to vacuum them, i just pull them up, lay them out in a row, run the vacuum over them and put them back. super simple!

i love girard's designs, i NEVER win mod*mom anything :( and would LOVE to use these in my daughter's playroom. please choose me. please.

oh, and my favorite flor pattern from their site is JIGS UP pink. fun!

I'm totally WOW'd with Alexander Girard's designs for FLOR!! I could totally see it in my dining room! And I LOVE that its made from recycled material.

I've been a FLOR fan for awhile, but combined with the Girard designs, it's brilliant. I love all of the stripey patterns, especially the combination in the "Classic Quilt" area rug. I also love the "Happy Landings" airplanes for my little Linus' room.

I LOVE the alexander girard designs! They're so eclectic and fit my style wonderfully. These flor tiles are amazing! I would love to have them.

I love the sun print on Girard's eco-friendly tiles. I collect sun and moon stuff so they're perfect, especially since their ecofriendly. I like the "finer things" tiles in jade- simple and functional.

I am also a big fan of Girard! And these FLOR tiles are by far my favorites of their designs. I do love their solid, bright colors and I think they're a wonderful, eco-conscious way to bring carpeting into the home. I would really love these for my new little boy's room. Really attractive, practical and environmentally conscious.

I love the Alexander Girard sunshine -- the block set especially.

I just purchased the FLOR tiles at Target (on clearance!!) -- they're the same color family as our couch, so we're getting an easy-to-clean, large carpet from an eco-friendly company inexpensively!

It has been said so many times previously, but Alexander Girard's design is so colorful and fun that it would do miracles no matter what type of style of room you have.

I like that Girard's tiles are so colorful and modern. Perffect for brightening up a house with dark hardwoods like mine. I think my favorite pattern is Willow in Magenta. Somehow bright pink has never seemed so calm and understated.

WOW! I love the Alexander Girard tiles because they're vibrant, different, amazing, bold and just way too cool. All the flor stuff is just killer - love that you can go with the pattern or just play around.
I can't pick just one fave - as so many of the patterns are just killer and unique in their own right. I could picture all of them in my house - somehow!

The new Girard flor products are simply awesome. What a beautiful addition to any home.

I actually have a flor wishlist ;) My favorites are shirt stripe in rugby for the kitchen and seeing spots in parakeet for the front porch. Both areas of my new house need a punch of color and flor tiles would definitely do that!

Girard's work is exuberant, child-like (in all the best ways), and positive. Designs can have a negative or a positive perspective on life, and his may be the most life-affirming collection of any.

I love these!

My favorite (and the one that would be sooo perfect in my condo) is the smaller one under the breakfast bar stools.

They are so happy and cheerful!
My floors are dark (heart of pine) and I currently have some carpets on them I purchased in Iraq, but they are simply too dark.

This flor design would make my kitchen sing and me sing when I am in the kitchen cooking!

Hello, can you say color?! When you look at your floor, do you see "just a rug" or do you see joy? These tiles remind me of what I'd like my clients to see when they walk into my office: peaceful, joyful, happy colors and patterns. Ask yourself how often you notice a rug? These are certainly set apart. It's definitely a tie between classic quilt and whimsy, but the pattern you have featured on your blog is my new favorite.

What an amazing opportunity! Alexander Girard's work was and is a major influence in design especially in textile and graphic design. To have the ability to translate your ideas through a diverse range of products, including FLOR, is unbelievable. Girard is one of my design idols!

FLOR has such an amazing range of tiles from the peaceful Martha Stewart Collection to virbant stripes and solid colors that I can't wait to see Girard's work translated into this stylish and modern carpet.

I've been coveting both the Alexander Girard alphabet blocks over at House Industries and the wooden dolls at DWR - His work makes me smile! It's the perfect balance - playful and intelligent.

I'm thrilled that FLOR is making these tiles, I have the Chartreuse Fedora with Skirting Around as the corners in my bedroom and I love it!

I am so in love with Alexander Girards designs that I keep the little signature/colour test strip from the edge of his fabrics after I've used up the fabric sewing! The colour combos alone are worth keeping, so the little strips go up on the inspiration board.

I've had crushes on many a FLOR carpet, but this new Alexander Girard one (in the larger scale) just takes the cake,it would be absolutely perfect in my new studio/sewing room/dressing room.

As a person with dogs, carpets are often not an option (they always seem to aim for the carpet, if you know what I mean...) But for awhile now I've thought of investing in a FLOR carpet with a few spare tiles, just in case an accident occurs. This new design is easily my top pick!
