I'm a learning so it was really fun to view the podcasts and gets some of that "learning" in! By Mel Gruver, at 2/13/2008 1:16 PM I grew up with a heart condition, so I'm always eager to read about (or listen to) anything related to heart health. The podcast was informative and a good common sense reminder to eat many different kinds of natural, heart-healthy foods with lots of color, texture and flavor. wakeyes at yahoo dot com , atIt was great. What a great podcast series. Keeping healthy is so important.
What a great podcast series. Keeping healthy is so important. Very informative podcast. In Feb 2002 I had a heart attack. I was 35, thin, and active. The docs could not believe it. I am so glad that there is so much more information out there for women now. The year after my MI, is when they actually started focusing on women's hearts. By Lissete, at 2/15/2008 7:11 AM i think being healthy is so important...i wish me and my family would start eating more healthy...i think the infomation was great...heart problems are very common in women i hear.... By BrAeSoN'sMaMa, at 2/15/2008 11:54 AM Great info! I *heart* whole foods! , at
I love that they actually referred to their nickname of "Whole Paycheck" in one of the podcasts. They're getting better and better at the podcasts, more succinct, better info. By ilene, at 2/15/2008 3:57 PM

I *love* Whole Foods. Great tips.
Wow- it looks like most of their traffic is from you! Great work. The podcast was full of helpful reminders and tips. I would love info, if anyone wants to share, on which brands of vitamins seem to be most potent/produce the best results. By Anita Sarah Jackson, at 2/18/2008 4:31 PM

I love wholefoods overall (they stop using plastic bags, yay!), and I am glad to know that they have podcast for our better health. wakana at earthlink dot net By wakana, at 2/22/2008 4:15 PM
Listened to the podcast... good intro for beginners. I knew the info, but if I was referring the podcast to someone, I might hope that it had morer ver specific pointers in it. What type of exercise for the busy person on the go would help? Is it important to take digestive enzymes when taking all those supplements? Thanks for the info! , atI learned which supplements to add to my diet for a healthy heart like vitamins E, C, and the B's. :) By Taryn, at 2/24/2008 6:56 PM
Such a great way to get alot of us the information. Not only for us, but for our daughters now, and to come! By Crunchy Green Mom - Suzanne, at 2/24/2008 8:42 PM great information. I don't get enough VD and loved learning about how to get it naturally. I don't eat salmon or stay outside in the winter very much. I should start taking a daily vitamin. By lace, at 2/25/2008 4:35 PM I swear I posted a comment on this podcast weeks ago but it's not here! Who knew there were so many thing to think about besides cholesterol? This is a great giveaway! I'd love it! By KJ, at 2/26/2008 7:02 AM Love hearing how we can nourish our heart with healthy foods and controlling inflamation. By Unknown, at 2/28/2008 2:08 PM Where do my comments keep going? I've re-posted twice on this giveaway, and some others, and can never find my comments after! That was on eo fhte best nuggets of info on women's heart health I've heard...coQ10? Inflammation? It's not just cholesterol. THANKS! I long to live near Whole Foods! By KJ, at 2/28/2008 3:28 PM hi kj: i see 2 comments from you today. i don't know about your past comments. could they have been on the last whole foods podcast post? i've hostessed whole foods giveaways once a month for several months. or maybe you commented on a reminder post instead of the giveaway? or their post only? or didn't hit publish? By mod*mom, at 2/28/2008 3:34 PM When people find out that I struggle with high cholesterol, they are shocked. I was tested when I was 5, and it was always around 300. I'm active, eat well, and am tall and average weight -- but it's in the genes. My dad and sister both have high cholesterol too. The podcast really is a great reminder to stay on top of things. (P.S. I posted a comment a couple weeks ago, and can't find it either -- weird). By Angela, at 2/28/2008 6:46 PM thanks so much for the link...I have a lot of listening to do now with all the OTHER podcast they have! By Stephanie, at 2/29/2008 3:17 AM
i didn't even know whole foods had podcasts! thanks for the info. Thanks for this! It's great info to have and share! By Sarah M, at 2/29/2008 6:24 AM Thanks for that link. I am the child of a heart attack survivor so I take heart health very seriously. That being said, it is also easy to make bad choices when it comes to food--mainly when I am in a hurry and end up snacking on junk. I needed a reminder and this did it--so thanks. By Sara Berry, at 2/29/2008 8:23 AM How wonderful that you're promoting heart health to the right audience! we need to start now to have a healthy heart when we hit our 50s! Thanks for the giveaway too! monakarif at gmail dot com By butterflyny, at 2/29/2008 11:54 AM
I'm glad many of you listened to the podcast + left a comment on the podcast post with modmom.blogspot.com in the website field so you're entered in this promotion! By mod*mom, at 2/29/2008 3:07 PM It was very informative. My mom just had open heart surgery and my dad has major heart issues. They have both been told that it's mostly hereditary and nothing they could have done would have prevented heart problems... eating healthier could have helped but not to the point of eliminating them. I want to try to eat as healthy as I can to prevent more serious problems. Thanks for promoting the issue of heart health. It's so important. We hear so much about cancer and it's nice that heart health is enjoying more publicity. By Cassie, at 2/29/2008 6:26 PM |
