This is my all time favorite give away! Mine a collection of my photos and some of the more interesting bits of my thesis work (www.artic.edu/~ndonoh/).

My daughter is 3 and starting a school readiness program this year so I would write a book about her going to school and how much fun it will be... This way it will help her get used to the idea of going before she actually does. Maybe help her get excited for it instead of scared.

Great giveaway modmom!!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/18/2008 8:14 AM

I would do one of two things.
1. Make a collection of my Dad's sketches and photos of his artwork. He is the most amazing artist and I'd love to have that preserved for my children to have as they get older.

2. I'd love to make a "5 Years of the Adcock Family" book. Detailing my wedding to my wonderful husband and then the birth of our son up to the "surprise" trip Hubby has planned for me to celebrate our 5th Anniversary.

If I don't win, I might have to do both before Christmas for presents. :)

Great giveaway! I've seen one of the Blurb books and they're awesome. I have two possibilities for what I'd do a book of -- either the series I've started this year on my blog, which a Year of Food in photographs, or a book devoted to my only nephew's second year of life. I suspect the latter choice would win out. ;)

Thanks!

I would love to create a book of my daughters first 2 years of life. That would be an awesome gift for her!

Of course my first thought was my kids!! But, I have 3 and being the obsessive photographer I am...there is way too many photos. Plus I always wanted to do individuals for when they were older to show their children.
So, I have a suitcase full of ancestors I am wanting to put in a book that will be kept by the matriarch of the family and past on through the generations. Oh, I could hope anyway!! My Dad and Step mom were just about to through them all in the dump when I grabbed it and brought it home with me.
Imagine the stories, family trees, and fabulous photos of ancestors from 100 years or more ago all in one place. That would be awesome.
Awesome contest. Think I want one anyway!

I would love to make a book that would be "the one" to grab in case of a family emergency (fire, flood, etc.) I have so many scrapbooks that it would be impossible to save them all. I would love to have one book full of pictures of my husband & I growing up, getting married and having our daughter...one big book about our life.

Thanks!

I've been wanting to make one of these for so long, but I haven't made the jump yet. I'd definitely do it for FREE though! I'd either make a wedding album because I got married in April, or I'd make a book with photos of all my siblings, nieces and nephews and give it as a gift to my mother for Mother's Day!

I think I'd chronicle my mom's crafts (things she's made over the years) and/or collections (she has a large collection of Peruvian photograps and textiles.)

Even if i don't win, I think you've inspired a new project. Thanks.

I've been hosting, for a while now, a limited edition in my blog, with vintage postcards I find in flea markets and antique shops, illustrated with written shortstories, by several young writers.

Each story, tells us about the possible life of the person portraied in the postcard. An imaginary life that they could have had.

My book would be about these postcards and shortstories, compiled together, because they are so wonderfully written that they deserve to be published! And I would love to share these vintage cards with everyone!

Mine would be a 2007 yearbook - a tradition I'd like to start - making a year book for each year :-)

By Blogger Jenny, at 1/20/2008 11:27 AM

I would either make a book of my oldest child's life as he graduates this year, or I would gather photos from our church and make a book of our church's "life".

By Blogger Qtpies7, at 1/20/2008 12:19 PM

I think mine would have to be about my wedding. We have been married five years and I still have not put together a wedding album.

By Blogger Tiffany, at 1/20/2008 1:57 PM

My book would be wiredwilsons.com{unplugged} - this was our blog for the first two years of our daughter's life - we switched to a new blog platform last fall so I've been wanting to find a way to archive her blog in a hard copy format as it is her baby book, in essence, and what better way than a high quality coffee table book from BLURB! Sweet!!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/20/2008 1:58 PM

There are so many cool comments here I almost wonder if I should go for it - although I would LOVE to put together a book of so many topics - I am focused right now on starting to build my photography portfollio and think I would be tempted to use it for that -- we also are currently working on gathering pictures for my in-law's 50th wedding anniversary - how do you fit 50 wonderful years of memories into one book??? Thanks for all the great giveaways...

By Blogger Madame Moore, at 1/20/2008 3:32 PM

I'd have to decide between a recipe book (I'm dying to bind all of my recipes) and a book of remembrance depicting the life of my great grandmother or even my family history. It would be fun either way!

By Blogger Meagan, at 1/20/2008 4:24 PM

Wow! The possibilities are endless as I have a lot of books I plan to write. I choose a book that I'll write from my heart to my 2 beautiful daughters (ages 16 and almost 21). It's not the usual mom-to-daughter/s book as I'm a non-custodial mom. It has been a difficult road and I need to document my story for them so they will know how we came to this place in our lives. I cannot publish it now as they are still too young to fully understand, so I would write it and publish it and save it for them when they are mature enough to understand. If I'm not being greedy, I'd love to win 2 so I could give 1 to each daughter and they won't have to fight each other over who gets it!

This is a great give-away!
