Definitely burning my own DVD copies! And the restore feature is swanky, too. I haven't used Toast since way, way pre-iTunes, so it would be great to give it a try once again.

The file recovery for damaged discs is a great one since with kids around, there is always the possibility of a scratched CD and it would be so awful to lose all the data (ie photos, movies) that we back up on there! {Speaking from experience here...sigh}
My husband and I really enjoy listening to music on vinyl, however I get really annoyed having to flip as soon as I start to get into the music. This software says it has improved vinyl and cassette conversion, and if it could keep the sound quality, I would be all for putting my favorite albums on a cd, YAY no more flipping!!

Recovering files is a great bonus, especially with a 4-year-old who likes to handle CD's and DVD's.
I think one of the nicest features is the ability to create a disc catalog. I must have 100 discs that are archives of documents, photos and videos that I have to search through individually when I want to find something specific. This would be very useful.

I LOVE to TiVo to go option! My husband is in the military and seems to be forever deploying overseas. Times like now when he's gone months at a time, he misses the all the cool documentaries and such he loves so much on PBS. This feature would fix that in a jiffy!

I use Toast at work on a daily basis. LOVE this software. Would absolutely love to have it at home, especially as I do a fair bit of digital photography.
It's hard to pick a favorite feature, but I'd have to say the cataloging is pretty fabulous. And the one-click copy feature is really nice.

I love the feature of being able to restore and recover files from scratched/damaged discs. My daughter got into our CD collection and scratched a lot of the discs. I would love to have them back!

I love the idea that TiVo will no longer just be in the bedroom but that I can take it on the go with my video iPod. It has to be the ability to burn DVDs. Not that exciting, but we have a toddler and a zillion movies on our video camera. The grandparents would be over the moon if gifted with a DVD collection starring our little one!
it's the data spanning that excites me about this latest version of roxio. I have yet to come across a program that I can burn my WHOLE 20GB audio collection across multiple discs without taking a full spindle of dvds.

I would have to say the TiVoToGo part would be the best for us. Then I could download all the stuff that I have been TiVo-ing for hubby while he travels but never gets a chance to watch and he could take them with him on trips.

So many cool features. One unique feature thats sounds great is the audio conversion. My wedding tape is a literal cassette recording of the ceremony. I would love to be able to save that on the computer. By the time my kids are grown they may not know what a cassette tape is!

My favorite feature is the Tivo support. When I looked up TivoToGo on the Tivo website, I was upset to discover that they had a free application for Windows but not for a Mac. I've been craving this ever since but could not justify the price.
I like the restore feature as well as the TV to go- would be fun to check it out!

For a frequent traveller, one of my favourite features about Roxi Toast (R) 8 is that you can take TV shows with you on the go and truly customize your tv watching time to fit shows in when you want to. The perfect sound quality in burning CD's is great too! These are just some of my favourite features!
Holy moly where to begin! I guess my favorite thing...if I have to narrow it down to one is that you can copy and convert DVDs. I could put videos on my iPod. We could make 1,000 copies of the movie Cars because each one we buy, Carson ends up scratching somehow. It would be AWESOME to own this!
The fact that you can retrieve scratched CD´s, this is our main problem in our household. Our kids are not so very gentle with their DVD´s. So that would be my favourite feature.

The "What's on that disk" feature would be great. I have stacks of CD's with pictures on them and it's impossible to find anything.

1. The ability to burn blue ray movies. I recently purchase a PS3 so that would be great.

Restoring and recovering scratched media...I don't know how they get so scratched, but I'm excited that this software can work around that!
So many reasons why I like this. Being a photographer, I love that I can store so many pictures, but also that I can recover and restore from scratched CDs.
Also living so far away from family, I am always making them DVDs with videos and slid shows of the kids and this would be so helpful with that!.

I love the fact that is does TIVO transfers. My husband is constantly on the road and this would be perfect for him. Also restoring data from damaged discs is perfect as well because with my husbands job he gets a lot of discs that need copying and when they are damaged, they are useless to him. Love this product.

Wow! This sounds great! I used to use Roxio for my CD burning software (on an older computer) so I think I would like to try it again...I love that the new software has the ability to convert shows from Tivo into DVDs - DH & I have been wanting to do that for a while now! :)
There was an earlier version of Toast that I used at school. CDs always burn quickly and reliably (never an error and unreadable disk. Reading about this new version I like the idea of creating a Disc Catalog. That way I could quickly find whatever I would be looking for!
