Some pretty cool software indeed ModMom, I like the fact that it can Restore and recover files from scratched or damaged discs while copying, I could really use that feature, the kids are always scratching their CD's.

Definitely burning my own DVD copies! And the restore feature is swanky, too. I haven't used Toast since way, way pre-iTunes, so it would be great to give it a try once again.

By Blogger Superdumb Supervillain, at 1/11/2008 6:49 AM

My husband fancies himself a DJ, so he would be totally psyched about this.

By Blogger Brooke, at 1/11/2008 7:07 AM

My husband, the songwriter, could really use this in the new studio he's building right now.

All the new music features are great, but I think I like the video transfer capabilities!

By Blogger Pamelotta, at 1/11/2008 7:09 AM

Great software! I love that I can store 50,000 photos of my little girl!

By Blogger Bree, at 1/11/2008 7:16 AM

like that it can restore and recover files from scratched or damaged discs while copying--we are rough on our media!

Well, with two little girls we can never have enough photo storage so that is my favorite Thanks...

stbaisch@yahoo.com

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/11/2008 7:59 AM

Definately the photo storage...in this digital age I'll be racking the pics up quick!

By Blogger Bebemiqui, at 1/11/2008 8:48 AM

The file recovery for damaged discs is a great one since with kids around, there is always the possibility of a scratched CD and it would be so awful to lose all the data (ie photos, movies) that we back up on there! {Speaking from experience here...sigh}

By Blogger kevnjacks, at 1/11/2008 9:29 AM

My husband and I really enjoy listening to music on vinyl, however I get really annoyed having to flip as soon as I start to get into the music. This software says it has improved vinyl and cassette conversion, and if it could keep the sound quality, I would be all for putting my favorite albums on a cd, YAY no more flipping!!

By Blogger PS, at 1/11/2008 9:54 AM

"Restore and recover files from scratched or damaged discs while copying."

Sweet. Would so make my Man and my man happy.

By Blogger MamaChristy, at 1/11/2008 10:17 AM

Hi, I like the superior quality audio CDS and DVDS page because my sons and husband love music! Thanks,Cindi

I like that it recovers files from scratched or damaged discs, and that you can create DJ-style audio CDs.

By Blogger fyjules, at 1/11/2008 11:01 AM

Great that Blu-Ray is supported, since it seems that where things are headed.

By Blogger Becca, at 1/11/2008 11:06 AM

Love that it "Restore and recover files from scratched or damaged discs while copying" since I scratch my CDs and lose data all the time.

By Blogger dodo, at 1/11/2008 11:25 AM

To quote Peter Griffen. "this is freaking sweet!"

I'd have to say that my fave features are the ones dealing with the CD's I love the disc catalog feature, and the fact that you can tweak the cd's that you create.

I also like the burning of the tv shows to fit my iPod.

Recovering files is a great bonus, especially with a 4-year-old who likes to handle CD's and DVD's.

By Blogger Hillary (Mrs. Einstein), at 1/11/2008 11:37 AM

I think one of the nicest features is the ability to create a disc catalog. I must have 100 discs that are archives of documents, photos and videos that I have to search through individually when I want to find something specific. This would be very useful.

I LOVE to TiVo to go option! My husband is in the military and seems to be forever deploying overseas. Times like now when he's gone months at a time, he misses the all the cool documentaries and such he loves so much on PBS. This feature would fix that in a jiffy!

By Blogger Lotta Dahl, at 1/11/2008 12:08 PM

I need the large photo storage space! I take hundreds every month as a photo major turned SAHM :)

By Blogger Taryn, at 1/11/2008 12:16 PM

I love that you can do everything with one little machine...music, ipods, dvd's...I also like how you can retrieve info from damaged discs!

By Blogger Alexia, at 1/11/2008 12:18 PM

My eyes lit up when I saw the CD spin doctor... a way to salvage all of those mix tapes from high school. YAY! Another way to embarass my child!

By Blogger rella12, at 1/11/2008 12:30 PM

I didn't know I could convert my old cassettes...that would be great!!!

By Blogger Nyssaneala, at 1/11/2008 12:49 PM

My favorite thing is that I can hand it to my husband and he'll know exactly what to do with it... as for me, I'm clueless! :) (Enter me for the drawing; the hub is waiting with bait on his breath.)

By Blogger jenna, at 1/11/2008 1:33 PM

Recovery?!?!?!? OMG how often I could use this! Not to mention the photo storage!

By Blogger jilly, at 1/11/2008 2:01 PM

I like that you can restore and recover files! That is super!

Thanks for the giveaway!

i love the photo storage and being able to copy shows to your ipod! hello! sweet deal.. count me in!

By Blogger Re, at 1/11/2008 4:40 PM

I would SO love this for my husband. He would love the recovery option for scratched DVDs....we have one currently that is not playable and we have some home movies on it! :0( We'd also really love to use the converter for LPs to digital formats. I collect vintage Christmas LPs, and it's always a challenge to figure out how to play that music for holiday parties. :0) ( meg dot wilson at gmail dot com )

By Blogger megret7, at 1/11/2008 4:57 PM

I use Toast at work on a daily basis. LOVE this software. Would absolutely love to have it at home, especially as I do a fair bit of digital photography.

It's hard to pick a favorite feature, but I'd have to say the cataloging is pretty fabulous. And the one-click copy feature is really nice.

By Blogger czeltic girl, at 1/11/2008 5:47 PM

I would have to say the ability to restore cd's is a great option!

love, love, love the idea of blu-ray support!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/11/2008 10:26 PM

I love the feature of being able to restore and recover files from scratched/damaged discs. My daughter got into our CD collection and scratched a lot of the discs. I would love to have them back!

By Blogger Amber, at 1/11/2008 11:17 PM

First off let me say that I am thrilled that you are giving away Mac software. I feel like I never get an opportunity to share fun giveaways with my baby!

I love the idea that TiVo will no longer just be in the bedroom but that I can take it on the go with my video iPod. I love watching different shows than my husband prefers and I have had to suffer watching them on the TiVo in the bedroom while he watches his shows on our large 62 inch HDTV in the living room. Thank you for this giveaway. This is definitely one for me!!!

It has to be the ability to burn DVDs. Not that exciting, but we have a toddler and a zillion movies on our video camera. The grandparents would be over the moon if gifted with a DVD collection starring our little one!

it's the data spanning that excites me about this latest version of roxio. I have yet to come across a program that I can burn my WHOLE 20GB audio collection across multiple discs without taking a full spindle of dvds.

I would have to say the TiVoToGo part would be the best for us. Then I could download all the stuff that I have been TiVo-ing for hubby while he travels but never gets a chance to watch and he could take them with him on trips.

Looks like a great program and the price isn't bad either.

I'd have to say the Copy & Convert DVDs feature.

So many cool features. One unique feature thats sounds great is the audio conversion. My wedding tape is a literal cassette recording of the ceremony. I would love to be able to save that on the computer. By the time my kids are grown they may not know what a cassette tape is!

My favorite feature is the Tivo support. When I looked up TivoToGo on the Tivo website, I was upset to discover that they had a free application for Windows but not for a Mac. I've been craving this ever since but could not justify the price.

By Blogger Unknown, at 1/16/2008 4:01 PM

I like the restore feature as well as the TV to go- would be fun to check it out!

By Blogger Unknown, at 1/16/2008 5:28 PM

For a frequent traveller, one of my favourite features about Roxi Toast (R) 8 is that you can take TV shows with you on the go and truly customize your tv watching time to fit shows in when you want to. The perfect sound quality in burning CD's is great too! These are just some of my favourite features!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/19/2008 5:41 PM

Holy moly where to begin! I guess my favorite thing...if I have to narrow it down to one is that you can copy and convert DVDs. I could put videos on my iPod. We could make 1,000 copies of the movie Cars because each one we buy, Carson ends up scratching somehow. It would be AWESOME to own this!

By Blogger Meagan, at 1/20/2008 4:35 PM

The fact that you can retrieve scratched CD´s, this is our main problem in our household. Our kids are not so very gentle with their DVD´s. So that would be my favourite feature.

The "What's on that disk" feature would be great. I have stacks of CD's with pictures on them and it's impossible to find anything.

By Blogger Sarah, at 1/29/2008 5:08 AM

Photo Disks. I'm also a photographer and man, that would be helpful. THank you.

By Blogger It's Whimsy, at 1/29/2008 5:09 AM

The features that excite me on Roxio Toast 8 Titanim are:

1. The ability to burn blue ray movies. I recently purchase a PS3 so that would be great.

2. The compression of 9GB on a regular 4.7 GB Disc. The converter I'm using now doesn't have that capability.
