My favorite is the school years keepsake journal because it's illustrated b S.Britt + it's really a neat way to organize school facts + momentos.
We *heart* Taro Gomi in this house! Doodles and Squiggles are two of our favorites (as well as Everyone Poops, aka "the POOP book"). My boy really loves the Flip-A-Face books from Chronicle too. By ramona, at 12/29/2007 3:38 PM Our favorite is the Little Finger Puppet Books, whether it's the Ladybug or the Bee, etc. It really captures the kiddies' attention and make them laugh, for some reason. :) Love it! By kevnjacks, at 12/29/2007 4:11 PM Roo's been on a big Olive the Other Reindeer kick lately but the mini-Masters board books are my fave Chronicle Books for kids. By Superdumb Supervillain, at 12/29/2007 5:56 PM Our favorite book of the moment is "Spring is Here" by Taro Gomi. My daughter (20 mos) loves the soothing words and pictures so much that now I can even turn off the nightlight and murmur it to her. She will anticipate the page "The storms rage" by making raging noises in her throat, and add sighs for the wind at the right points too. By MommyTime, at 12/29/2007 6:18 PM Sorry, my url didn't post: http:mommysmartini.blogspot.com By MommyTime, at 12/29/2007 6:23 PM We love the finger puppet books.. we havent progressed to the others yet By Re M., at 12/29/2007 8:13 PM
I love Mrs. Mustard's Baby Faces! My baby girl goes nuts whenever she sees baby faces...even on diaper boxes! We don't have this book...but now that I know about it, I'll be sure to get it! By Luch, at 12/30/2007 7:24 AM I think my favorite books are between Kitchen Playdates:Easy Ideas for ... and pretty much anything in the kids section, but my baby is loving the Little...:Finger Puppet Books, my three year old still loves those. By whit, at 12/30/2007 10:19 AM MY favorite Chronicle books is "Scary Stories" by Barry Moser, Peter Glassman because I love reading scary, spooky stories, and this one looks really good! By dodo, at 12/30/2007 12:13 PM I haven't read any of them but Gomi's book look adorable. By Martin Klasch, at 12/30/2007 12:16 PM Mrs. Mustard's Baby Faces is my 9-month-old's favorite book. I always have it in my diaper bag these days, because looking at the smiling faces nearly always puts her in a good mood. As for me, Chronicle has several great cookbooks that I love, including one that's exclusively Mac & Cheese recipes. By Becca, at 12/30/2007 12:37 PM

By Brooke, at 1/01/2008 6:15 AM We just welcomed our new baby girl and named her Ivy. A few weeks after she was born my best friend passed along a link to 'Ivy and Bean'. I love Spring is Here by Taro Gomi. Also the SAMi books are fun for little kids. By melonkelli, at 1/13/2008 11:58 AM
We love Mommy Hugs and Daddy Kisses! It goes without saying that we hug and kiss our little guy whenever we get the chance, but now that he's more mobile he doesn't like sitting still long enough for us to shower him with affection. So we look forward to story time because that's the only time he'll sit still, and these books give us the perfect opportunity to combine our hugs and kisses with one of his favorite quiet activities.
Everybody poops! The Nickelodeon IOU Checkbook: 40 Checks You Can Write to Your Friends is my favorite. It teaches children about giving through kindness not just materially. The actual act of fulfilling the check is very rewarding for the kids. By Ghstwritr, at 1/16/2008 11:58 AM We have been fans of Gomi's books since Jokin' was just a wee thing. Spring is Here was one of the first board books. My Friends came next. Everyone Poops is a present I give every friend starting potty training with their munchkin. But we cannot go a day without pulling out the Children's Miscellany books or the Spot 7 series. Maybe it's a "five thing," but Jokin' is obsessed! By Melanie Martinez, at 1/19/2008 6:44 AM Up, Up I Go Growth Chart by Eric Carle looks like it'd be fun! By Meagan, at 1/20/2008 4:32 PM
My daughter is really into the "Spot 7" books right now! By Maude Lynn, at 1/25/2008 2:36 PM
"Mama do you love me" is the sweetest book and I love the illustrations. My kids have enjoyed Olive, The Other Reindeer. Quirky story and great illustrations. By Kristen M., at 1/28/2008 6:20 AM My son loves the book "the Animals' Picnic". It's very simple and short, but he loves the rhyming and pointing out all the animals! I love Taro Gomi! jennmckim@hotmail.com , at |
