for mod*tot's birthday's we've always gone to fairyland in oakland, california. it's "america's oldest storybook theme park." so we went there for mod*tot's 3rd birthday a few weeks ago. she especially loves to ride on the jolly trolly train (okay, we grown ups love it too).

she looked so cute getting a drink from this lion faucet. kids have to put their head in the lion's mouth to get a drink. precious.

this is where i bank in sunnyvale. it is sooo cool. of course i picked it because of the sixties architecture. it has a huge geodesic dome skylight ceiling + circular stairway inside. it's a bank of the west. they have some other architecturally cool branches around here too.
