ecosmart fire place


i saw these mod ecosmart fire places at dwell on design this weekend.

ecosmart is a free standing 2-side open fireplace fueled by denatured ethanol + has no flue, which makes it suitable for any environment.
the retro fireplace is inspired by the 60s + has a tube design. it's made from fiberglass, stainless steel + toughened glass, with a pvc protective cover.

    Looks nice, but I wonder how you work it. I guess you pour th ethanol in and I wonder how it smells.

    I have one of these fireplaces at home and they are truly amazing. the fire is beautiful and it puts out a lot of heat (you can adjust the amount of flame/heat produced). About the worry of how it smells....there is a little mechanism to pour the alcohol into the burner and after that it self seals so you don't smell anything!!
