Oprah helps declutter the United States of America
i got this call to action:
"O, The Oprah Magazine partnered with Peter Walsh, host of "Extreme Clutter" for the March issue to challenge America to ‘De-Clutter for a Cause’ contest. I would love for you to help us spread the word to mod*mom readers as you are part of our “inner O circle”!"
i've been decluttering + detoxing since i talked to Peter Walsh on the red carpet at Oprah + her experts 5500+ event a few months ago. here's a nudge from O to clear your clutter:

Healthy Initiative: Transforming Our Nation’s Health 1 City At A Time
The Healthy Initiative Foundation is a nationwide nonprofit effort that advocates disease prevention. Their mission is to defeat obesity, Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, cancers + other lifestyle diseases with wellness, nutrition, fitness, + mental-emotional strength.
Healthy Initiative founder Shea Vaughn is the mother of one of Hollywood’s most loved movie icons, Vince Vaughn (see him star in The Internship Google spoof this summer :)
i was so excited to interview Shea + now i'm her biggest fan :)
Shea created a revolutionary wellness lifestyle transformation practice. Launching in Chicago right now, the goal of her nationwide strategic partnership effort is to build healthy happy lives all across America :)
Shea has devoted her life to helping people break old negative habits + replace them with healthier choices. Fueled by an endless positive attitude, Shea + her team of experts inspire + deliver an exceptionally healthy Mind, Body + Heart experience.
Q Why do you describe it as a healthy "Mind, Body + Heart" experience?
A The heart is the 1st cell made at human conception, it's who you are.
Q WoW. That is so powerful. Why did you start a healthy transformations nonprofit?
A I saw The Weight of the Nation documentary on obesity + i thought what can i do to help people who are dieting + yoyoing + stuck? Obesity is a preventable tragedy.
It's not a New Year's Eve resolution or a wish. They need life skills.
Q Where did you get your ability?
A Dancing from childhood gave me discipline + responsibility to do my best so I could be part of the team + perform.
Healthy Initiative's 1st group of 40 participants are following Shea's 90-day program from her book "Breakthrough"+ given the necessary tools to embrace a healthier lifestyle + become tomorrow’s community ambassadors. (i ordered her book)
March 9th will be the 1st Gala honoring the success of the graduates of Healthy Initiative, featuring the father of Nutritarians, Dr. Joel Fuhrman, whose nutrient density books are bestsellers + nutrient density index is featured at Whole Food Markets.
"Shea's doctor-endorsed East meets West lifestyle practice, supported by 5 Living Principles of Well-Being: Commitment, Perseverance, Self-Control, Integrity + Love, provides dynamic combination of body resistance exercises that build exceptional body/core strength + muscle/joint flexibility."
Shea's been featured on many TV programs, including Ellen.
