update :: ford airstream mod van is a hybrid hydrogen-electric vehicle
when i wrote about this mod van here in january, i was impressed with the design, but there wasn't any information available about it yet. now i just read on metropolis that it's going to be a hybrid hydrogen-electric vehicle! how cooool! see the mod interior pics here! i want one!
Oh, crap. If my fiance sees this I am a dead woman. Or, rather, I guess a broke woman. ;)

ReplyDeleteThis is a van I would totally drive. If this does get into production looking like this I will S*&! my pants(and trade in my car). ;)
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, there are no plans to put it into production. When I spoke with the engineer at Ford, he told me that it's just a concept vehicle to show the public what sorts of ideas the company is looking at.
ReplyDeleteI think we should start a petition to get them to make it--i'm not kidding. Could they really say "no, we will not make this car" once the people have spoken? Come on, Ford don't lead us on this wayw!
ReplyDeleteYa, when I saw it at the New York Auto Show I was agog at how cool it was. Alas the dudes there also said there's zero plans to actually make it. It's just a showpiece.
