mod*tot did wonderfully on her 1st day of nursery school! she was very enthusiastic + friendly + eagerly participated in all the activities offered. i got to accompany her since it was her 1st day. the school is part of the psychology department of a prestigious university (i apologize for bragging, but i'm ecstatic she's at my dream school for her + soooo grateful i'm alive to see her beginning her formal education + i'm well enough to participate :)
1st she painted "a painting", then she pretend cooked + served it to a baby doll + me + her, next she "washed" the dishes,then she helped with making "thunder cake" from a recipe in a book a teacher read (there are 35 students + 5 teachers with master's degrees. each teacher has 7 students that sit at their table during snack time, otherwise the teachers are stationed at activity areas + the students can choose where to spend their freeplay time). then she played outside at the little houses + garden, later she played inside with dollhouses + a set of huge blocks, then another teacher read books to the class. it was wonderful!!!!!
(mod*tot is 3 1/2 + never had a nanny, babysitter or daycare)

mr.balihai, i do sit in the little chairs (we went again today) + i sat at the kidsize snack table today. the kids remind me of little senior citizens with their lunchtime conversations + the teacher reminding them of the manners. they're so wonderful. i feel so privileged to be with them in the classroom. soon though, i'll just be dropping off + picking up (early).
